Reverend Moore was called to preach, and teach

Reverend Keith Ray Moore was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Deacon Edgar and Mrs. Delores Moore. He is the father of Brittani Marie and Pablo Emmanuel and lovingly known as “Pop” to his grandchildren, Ryley and Mariah.
On April 4, 2009, Keith married Ruth (Amedelle) Moore at Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, affectionately calling her “Susie.”
Reverend Moore has been a member of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church for over 45 years, actively serving in various roles, including Trustee, Basketball Coach, and member of the Young Adult, Adult, and Mass choirs. He has taught the New Harvest, Teen, and Young Adult classes, and has stepped in to teach Adult, Men’s, and Senior Adult classes whenever necessary.
On November 25, 2001, he was ordained as a Deacon, and in 2009, he was appointed as Director of the Children’s Church ministry. In 2011, he became the Spiritual Leader for all Youth and Young Adult Ministries.
Reverend Moore has always felt that being a faithful servant was just the beginning of his journey. He recognized there was much more work to do and dedicated his life to serving God in every way possible.
To prepare himself for ministry, Reverend Moore graduated in May 2009 with two diplomas from the American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania & Delaware - Church Leadership Institute in Christian Studies and Youth Ministry. Additionally, on February 11, 2012, he completed his catechism and was ordained to preach the Gospel.
Reverend Moore holds an Associate’s Degree in Ministry Leadership from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, and graduated CUM LAUDE with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies. He also earned his Master's Degree in Formational Leadership MAGNA CUM LAUDE from Lancaster Bible College, Capital Seminary & Graduate School. He is currently a Doctoral candidate in the Ministry program at LBC.ch.
Since 2014, Reverend Moore has served as the pastor at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Altoona, PA, and is the Area Moderator for Williamsport, Altoona, and Johnstown. He serves as the Chairman of the Trustee Board for the Central Baptist Association (CBA). Reverend Moore feels God is calling him to a higher place in ministry, and he is excited to see how God will use him.
